About JAKÜ-PET
JAKÜ-PET is building a pet care concierge that actually gets things done for busy pet parents.
We anticipate, coordinate and execute pet care across vets, groomers, walkers, boarding and digital services, through KUI, our AI agent pet care concierge.
We focus on jaküs, the pet parents who feel the pain of missed appointments, last-minute scrambles, and low adherence to care plans, and on providers who want reliable demand and smoother operations, not another tool to manage.
The role
We are looking for a Founding CTO / Tech Co-Founder to own everything from product architecture to early execution. This is not a “come manage a team of 20” role. It is a hands on builder role for someone who wants to:
- Turn a validated product thesis into a working platform.
- Design the technical foundations and roadmap.
- Ship fast, learn from real users and iterate.
- Help shape the culture and future team.
You will work directly with the Founder & CEO and be involved in product, hiring, fundraising and strategy.
A detailed CTO Brief with deeper context on product, ecosystem and expectations is shared with candidates who move forward.
What you will do
- Own the technical vision and translate the product strategy into a pragmatic roadmap.
- Design and build the first versions of the platform, including integrations with key pet care providers and services.
- Make foundational choices on architecture, data, AI usage, and tooling, keeping optionality for future scale.
- Set up basic engineering practices: code quality, security, reliability, observability at an appropriate level.
- Collaborate on product discovery with the founder, turning user insights into shippable features.
- Help define the early team shape, and later hire, onboard and mentor engineers.
What you bring
We are not looking for a specific buzzword stack. We care about your ability to solve problems, ship and think clearly.
You will likely have:
- Experience owning or co owning the build of a 0 to 1 product, ideally consumer or marketplace style.
- Strong background in software engineering and system design, comfortable making architecture decisions under uncertainty.
- Experience with cloud based products and integrations with third party services or APIs.
- Practical exposure to AI or automation in real products is a plus, not a hard requirement.
- A builder mindset: you are comfortable writing code, prototyping and iterating, not only directing others.
- Clear, concise communication and the ability to work with non technical founders.
- IMPORTANT: Real empathy for pet parents and providers. Being a pet parent yourself or having lived these pain points IS A MUST → we strongly believe you can’t really solve a problem you haven’t experienced and shouldn’t built a product you do not need to use.
