Title: Manual QA Analyst
Reports to: Manager of Quality Assurance
Location: Buffalo, NY (Hybrid)
About the role:
The QA Analyst plays a critical role in delivering high-quality, reliable, and high-performing SaaS solutions at InsurePay. This hands-on position ensures that new features, enhancements, and bug fixes function as expected before they reach our customers.
As part of our collaborative development and testing lifecycle, the QA Analyst works closely with Engineering and Product. You’ll help shape test strategies, define acceptance criteria, and ensure that every release meets our business, functional, and security standards.

- Analyze user stories and requirements to ensure clarity, completeness, and testability
- Design, build, and maintain comprehensive test plans and reusable test cases
- Execute manual test cases to validate business and technical functionality
- Log, track, and manage defects using tools like Jira; work with developers to resolve issues
- Perform regression, integration, and system-level testing across multiple environments
- Reproduce and validate production issues; contribute to root cause analysis and postmortems
- Ensure compliance with QA best practices and help shift quality left in the SDLC
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve test coverage and define better AC
- Proactively optimize test coverage and design to increase confidence, reduce cycle time, and improve defect detection rates
- Bring a QA mindset to agile ceremonies by influencing stories, risks, and delivery from the start
We’re excited about you because you have ....
- 2+ years writing and executing manual test cases with precision in agile environments
- 2+ years using Jira, X-Ray, and other test management and defect tracking tools
- 2+ years testing APIs (Postman), writing SQL queries, and validating cloud-based/SaaS platforms
- 2+ years of experience with QA strategy and execution across SDLC/STLC, test design, defect lifecycle management, and industry-standard methodologies
- 2+ years reducing production issues by proactively testing edge cases and validating end-to-end user workflows across diverse environments
- 2+ years working across engineering and product teams; skilled at clearly explaining bugs, influencing decisions, and aligning QA with business goals
- 2+ years refining test practices and team workflows, using feedback loops to improve quality, reducing cycle time, and preventing repeat defects
