We are working with a top financial services firm that is looking to bring on a Network Administrator to their IT team.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily network operations, including performance monitoring, troubleshooting, incident resolution, vendor ticket management, hardware repairs, health checks, and network-related disaster recovery testing and documentation.
- Design, optimize, and continuously improve network architecture by applying industry best practices, evaluating emerging technologies, and aligning local standards with headquarters’ technical requirements.
- Manage all network assets, including topology documentation, device and leased-line inventory, VLAN/IP/DNS administration, firewall configuration, device lifecycle management, and equipment installation, cabling, labeling, and routine inspections.
- Coordinate and execute network versioning and patch management activities, including installation, configuration, firmware updates, and planned upgrades in partnership with headquarters and third-party vendors.
- Handle vendor relations, budgeting, procurement, contracting, and invoice review for network services while supporting cross-functional teams, ensuring SLA compliance, and performing additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Network Engineering, or related field
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in network operations, network engineering, or infrastructure management.
- Strong proficiency with enterprise networking technologies, including switches, routers, firewalls, VPNs, VLANs, DNS, DHCP, and IP management. Experience with firmware upgrades, patch management, and network configuration management.
- Familiarity with major network and security platforms (e.g., Cisco, Fortinet, Palo Alto, Juniper).
- Demonstrates ability to diagnose and resolve network performance issues, manage vendor escalations, execute disaster recovery procedures, and conduct routine health checks and audits.
