A professional services firm with over 50 years of success is looking for a Database Administrator to join their Boston-based IT team. This is a hands-on individual contributor role for someone with 3-5 years of SQL experience.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain SQL Server environments (versions 2016–2019), ensuring optimal performance, reliable backups, and high availability through clustering, replication, and Always-On configurations.
- Conduct disaster recovery testing and implement measures to safeguard database reliability and security.
- Design and optimize stored procedures, views, and ad-hoc queries to support business needs.
- Partner with IT and business teams to troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues efficiently.
- Participate in a shared on-call rotation (infrequent but required) to provide critical support when needed.
- Assist with schema design and maintain accurate documentation for database structures and processes.
Ideal Candidate
- Around 4 years of practical experience working with SQL Server and T-SQL (flexible range: 2–7 years).
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across technical and business teams.
- A growth-oriented mindset and adaptability in a dynamic, evolving technology environment.
- Comfortable handling customer support and ticket-based workflows with professionalism.
- Nice to have: Familiarity with other database technologies such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, Snowflake, or Databricks.
