As we continue expanding and modernizing our platform, we’re seeking a Chief Technology Officer who is energized by building scalable, automated systems and leading talented teams through rapid product evolution.

About the RoleYou will play a central role in shaping the next generation of VroomBrick’s platform. You will lead engineering, product architecture, reliability, and automation strategy while driving the development of a self-guided, high-scale system used by buyers, sellers, lenders, and other transaction stakeholders.
This is a hands-on technical leadership role for someone who excels in fast-moving environments and enjoys bringing structure, automation, and world-class engineering standards to a scaling organization.
What You’ll Do- Lead VroomBrick’s engineering and product teams, setting technical direction and ensuring efficient execution.
- Architect scalable, automated systems that streamline complex workflows and deliver a reliable, intuitive user experience.
- Drive the evolution of our self-guided platform, improving speed, automation, and maintainability.
- Oversee integrations with financial institutions, lending systems, and transaction partners using modern API practices.
- Build durable internal engineering processes, CI/CD pipelines, and testing frameworks that support rapid iteration with stability.
- Mentor and grow engineering talent while shaping a strong in-house development culture.
- Own technical hiring, system security, infrastructure planning, and long-term platform reliability.
- Collaborate with founders on product strategy, automation priorities, and technology investments that support scale.
About You- Senior engineering leadership experience at a high-scale consumer technology company, preferably in fintech, tax-tech, legal-tech, or other guided-process platforms (examples: Intuit, TurboTax, LegalZoom, Credit Karma, etc.).
- Strong background in building self-service or workflow-automation products with complex logic and high compliance requirements.
- Experience integrating with financial institutions, credit unions, or other regulated partners.
- A track record of designing reliable, automated systems that replace manual workflows with scalable technology.
- Skilled in leading cross-functional development teams and shipping production-grade features on predictable timelines.
- Comfortable operating in a founder-led, high-growth startup environment with a strong hands-on approach.
- Based in or willing to relocate to Hampton, VA and work onsite full-time.
