Systems Administrator – Biotech | South San Francisco (Onsite)
Contract: 6 months, extension likely (long term contract)
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (flexible start by ±30 mins)
Location: South San Francisco – fully onsite
Pay Rate: $65-80/HR

About the Role
A rapidly growing biotech company in South San Francisco is seeking a seasoned Systems Administrator to join its IT team. This is a long-term contract role with an opportunity to make a significant impact as the company scales operations following a successful IPO.
You’ll manage day-to-day IT operations across Mac and Windows environments, administer tools like Okta, O365, Intune, Zoom, and MDM platforms, and provide white-glove onsite support. This role requires someone who thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and is comfortable working independently while building structure and documentation.
Key Responsibilities
- Support and troubleshoot Mac (25%) and Windows (75%) environments
- Administer and maintain Okta, O365, Intune, Addigy, Zoom, Slack
- Manage helpdesk tickets and provide onsite support
- Develop documentation and assist in building IT policies and procedures
- Partner with internal IT team to reduce reliance on MSP resources
- Support both corporate and lab environments
Required Experience
- 8+ years of IT experience in small-to-medium sized companies
- Strong expertise in Okta, O365, Intune, Zoom, and MDM platforms
- ITIL knowledge
- Proven ability to work independently in high-demand environments
- Excellent customer service and documentation skills
Preferred Experience
- Biotech/pharma industry experience
- Lab environment exposure
- Experience with Addigy or Ninja RMM
- Prior experience creating IT policies and procedures
