We will only be considering candidates w/Migration Background from PowerBI to Tableau .. ideally in a financial services client(but finance not mandatory)
About the Role
A leading Investment Bank is seeking a Business Intelligence Architect to provide technical leadership for a strategic migration project from Power BI to Tableau. This is a high-impact role where you will design, oversee, and execute the migration roadmap, ensuring seamless transition of enterprise reporting and analytics capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end migration of BI assets from Power BI to Tableau, including dashboards, reports, and data models.
- Define and implement best practices for Tableau architecture, governance, and performance optimization.
- Partner with business stakeholders, data engineers, and analysts to ensure requirements are met during migration.
- Conduct gap analysis between Power BI and Tableau capabilities, recommending solutions to maintain or enhance functionality.
- Establish standards for data visualization, security, and scalability in Tableau.
- Provide technical mentorship to BI developers and analysts throughout the project.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to data integration, visualization, and performance.
- Deliver clear documentation and knowledge transfer to internal teams.
Required Skills & Experience
- Proven experience as a Business Intelligence Architect or senior BI technical lead.
- Strong expertise in both Power BI and Tableau, with hands-on migration experience preferred.
- Deep understanding of BI architecture, data modeling, ETL processes, and enterprise data platforms.
- Experience in financial services or investment banking environments is highly desirable.
- Strong communication skills to engage with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work onsite full-time in one of the listed office locations.
