About the Role:
We are actively seeking a knowledgeable and reliable Database Administrator (DBA) to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the implementation, configuration, maintenance, and performance of critical database systems to ensure high availability and consistent performance.
This position offers both full-time and part-time availability, with the option to work remotely or in a hybrid environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Install, configure, and maintain relational database systems
Monitor database performance, manage security, and ensure data integrity
Design backup and disaster recovery solutions
Optimize database systems for performance and scalability
Write and maintain documentation and best practices
Collaborate with IT and software development teams
Conduct regular audits and implement access controls
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Database Administrator or in a similar role
Strong understanding of SQL and database structures
Familiarity with backup and recovery tools
Experience with cloud-based databases is a plus
Strong problem-solving and communication skills
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent work experience)
