We’re hiring a Windows Server Administrator for a high-end global financial institution with a boutique-sized NYC office.
This is a full-time, immediate-hire opportunity to join a Server Engineering team supporting a secure, high-performance IT infrastructure.
This is a hands-on role ideal for a junior to mid-level systems professional who thrives in a dynamic environment and is ready to step into a visible, impactful position with a prestigious international bank.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build, support, patch, and troubleshoot a mission-critical Windows Server infrastructure
- Administer storage systems, backup infrastructure, and ensure reliable system recovery
- Patch laptops, desktops, and servers using tools like BigFix, SCCM, and InTune
- Perform daily system monitoring and log reviews to ensure uptime, performance, and integrity
- Manage and support core infrastructure: Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, Exchange
- Provide Tier 2/3 support and collaborate on infrastructure-related project rollouts
- Maintain and enhance system security and compliance through hardening standards
- Support VMware vSphere environments and liaise with the Application Development team
- Create documentation and maintain operational runbooks
Ideal Background:
- 2–5+ years of hands-on Windows Systems Administration experience in a professional environment
- Strong experience with Windows Server 2019/2022, Active Directory, and Group Policy
- Familiarity with enterprise patching tools: BigFix, SCCM, Intune
- Knowledge of backup & restore tools, PowerShell scripting, and system automation
- Understanding of VMware vSphere, Exchange (On-Prem and M365), DNS, DHCP
- Basic knowledge of network infrastructure and common application transport protocols
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or other technical/quantitative field
- Microsoft or VMware certifications are a strong plus
- Must be local to NYC area and fully work-authorized in the U.S. (No visa sponsorship available)
