Position: Azure Architect

Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Azure Architect to assess, design, and enhance our Azure cloud environment. The ideal candidate will review the existing Azure estate (WAF region) and build a robust, scalable Azure foundation that aligns with best practices in security, governance, and performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct a comprehensive review of the existing Azure environment, including architecture, security, network, and governance frameworks.
- Identify gaps, risks, and opportunities for optimization within the current Azure estate.
- Design and implement a strong Azure foundation covering network topology, identity and access management, security baselines, monitoring, and automation.
- Define best practices for workload migration, cost optimization, and operational excellence.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including security, infrastructure, and application leads to ensure alignment with business and technical goals.
- Provide architectural guidance and support on Azure services such as Azure AD, Azure Networking, Storage, Compute, Key Vault, and Azure Policy.
- Prepare detailed architecture documentation, design blueprints, and recommendations for continuous improvement.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 10+ years of overall IT experience with 5+ years in Azure cloud architecture and design.
- Proven experience in reviewing and optimizing existing Azure environments (preferably in multi-region or global setups).
- Strong expertise in Azure Landing Zone, Azure Governance, and Security & Compliance frameworks.
- Hands-on experience with Azure Networking (VNet, VPN, ExpressRoute, WAF), Azure AD, Azure Monitor, ARM templates/Bicep/Terraform.
- Deep understanding of cloud security, identity management, and cost optimization strategies.
- Azure Certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert preferred.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred:
- Experience working with geographically distributed environments (including WAF region).
- Exposure to hybrid cloud or multi-cloud environments.
