We’re a stealth startup backed by a repeat founder and strong early investors.
We’re rebuilding the financial plumbing behind one of the largest, most outdated markets in the U.S.: insurance.
Incubated in NYC by a team that has already built two successful companies in this exact space, we’re now assembling a small, exceptional engineering team to build the next one.
This is the first engineering hire — stepping in as Technical Co-Founder & CTO — responsible for building the technical foundation, owning the stack, taking the product from 0→1, and shaping the engineering org from day one.
The Role
As the Technical Co-Founder & CTO, you will:
- Build the core platform from scratch (0→1)
- Architect the systems, pipelines, and AI/ML layers that power the product
- Work closely with the founders on product and GTM decisions
- Lead, mentor, and hire as the engineering team grows
- Ship quickly and with intention
- Set and maintain the technical bar for all future hires
This is true co-founder-level responsibility — with equity aligned to that.
Who You Are
- A full-stack generalist who owns problems end-to-end
- Deep interest in AI/ML, LLMs, embeddings, or data-driven systems
- Comfortable in ambiguous, fast-moving environments
- Relentless learner, practical builder, low ego
- Someone who figures things out without being told how
- Looking for meaningful ownership early in your career
- Motivated by building something that lasts
Culture & Expectations
We operate with high output, high trust, and high accountability.
Speed matters. Ownership matters. Builders only.
This role is fully in-person in our NYC office — collaboration and iteration are core to how we work.
Compensation
- Competitive salary
- Significant equity (founding-level)
- Uncapped leadership path for the right person
Who This Is Ideal For
An engineer who has acted as a founding engineer, early #2/#3, or who has prior lead/CTO experience. You should genuinely feel comfortable owning a full technical foundation and want the opportunity to do it again — or for the first time at a larger scale.
Why Join Now?
You’d be joining at the exact moment when:
- The company is fully incubated and de-risked by experienced founders
- Two successful companies have already been built in this domain
- The wedge is validated and the pipeline is active
- Early customers are aligned
- The market is pushing for change
- The next 18 months will determine the trajectory of a very large outcome
- If you’re hungry to build and want to help rearchitect a trillion-dollar market, reach out. Opportunities like this — to be the first technical co-founder on something this large — are rare.
