Base Salary $121,508 - $137,032 + 17% superannuation
About the opportunity
As the Senior Programs Coordinator, you will play a key role in driving impactful initiatives within the Education Portfolio, including the MySydney program. This role involves overseeing project organisation by defining roles and responsibilities, providing project management and operational support, and ensuring the seamless implementation and delivery of programs.
As part of the MySydney initiative, which is dedicated to improving educational access for students from underrepresented communities, you will develop and implement project plans, manage activities and deliverables, and ensure outcomes are achieved within budget and agreed timeframes. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to transformative initiatives that empower students and enhance access to higher education.
Your key responsibilities will be to:
oversee project organisation, defining roles, responsibilities, and workforce plans for effective implementation
develop and maintain project charters, methodologies, processes, and templates to align with objectives
design and implement project plans with clear timelines, milestones, and governance structures
manage project activities, budgets, and deliverables, addressing risks and ensuring quality
lead and support project staff through performance management, coaching, and training
establish governance frameworks, monitor data integrity, and ensure timely stakeholder reporting.
About you
prior working experience within a tertiary organisation
strong organisational and project management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities
proven ability to build and maintain constructive relationships with diverse stakeholders
experience managing budgets, expenditures, and staff performance and development
skilled in project documentation, standards, methodologies, and providing secretariat support, including minute-taking
excellent problem-solving, numeracy, and attention to detail in high-data environments
demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively, exercising sound judgment and initiative.
