Airawath is building a next-generation consumer experience that blends AI-driven personalization, e-invitations, social interactions, modern gifting, and future-proof e-commerce and fintech layers — all under one beautifully engineered platform.
We’re looking for a rare founding CTO — someone who:
- Writes code daily
- Architects systems from scratch
- Understands consumer products deeply
- Has experience in marketplaces, social apps, event platforms, or fintech
- Can lead engineering end-to-end while working with offshore support teams
- Wants real ownership and the opportunity to build something iconic

🔥 What You’ll Build & Lead
AI & ML (Core to Airawath):
- Personalization models
- AI-driven recommendations
- Semantic search & embeddings
- Integration of LLM-based user experience
Consumer Product Engineering:
- Robust event/e-invitation workflows
- Social-features: feeds, interactions, sharing, personalization
- Highly performant user-facing features with great UX
- Features that require emotional, relational, and contextual design
E-Commerce & Marketplace Foundations:
- Product catalog systems
- Integrations with affiliate/product APIs
- Scalable browsing, filtering, ranking mechanisms
- Checkout flows (non-financial at this stage)
Fintech (Future Ready):
- Secure transaction layers
- Wallet-like systems & balances
- Transaction logging, auditing, and risk handling
- (No sensitive fintech details disclosed publicly)
Engineering Leadership:
- Guide offshore developers
- Recruit the first 3–6 in-house engineers
- Define engineering culture, standards, and long-term architecture
This role is NOT for a “strategic CTO” — this is for someone who builds, ships, and architects.
🧠 Technical Strengths We’re Looking For
You must be very strong in most of these:
Backend & System Architecture
- Deep expertise in Python, Node, Go, or similar
- API design, distributed systems, scalable microservices
- Real-time or near-real-time backend workflows
- Event-driven systems (Kafka, Redis Streams, etc.)
- Strong security, authentication, and permissions design
AI / ML (Important but not the only requirement)
- Embeddings, ranking models, personalization
- Vector search systems (Pinecone, Weaviate, Milvus)
- AI integration with product flows
- Experience integrating or fine-tuning LLMs
Consumer Applications
Experience in any of these areas is a big plus:
- Event/e-invitation platforms
- Social media features (activity feeds, likes, sharing, comments systems)
- Creator or content-rich apps
- High-quality mobile/web UX products
- Messaging/notification systems
E-Commerce / Marketplace
- Product catalogs
- Search, filtering, sorting, ranking systems
- Integration with third-party product APIs
- Affiliate pipelines
- Checkout frameworks, cart logic, order history
Fintech Fundamentals
(High-level understanding sufficient for now)
- Basic card/payment flow understanding
- Secure transaction models
- Data integrity and audit trails
Not required: prior fintech regulatory knowledge.
Required: the ability to design secure, compliant-ready systems.

💰 Compensation (Founder-Friendly & Competitive)
During 3-Month Founder Evaluation (Probation):
- Flexible monthly compensation (TBD based on stage and candidate seniority)
- Full technical authority
After Probation → CTO + Cofounder:
- Equity: ~10–12% (industry-standard for founding CTOs)
- Salary: Competitive market CTO salary post funding ($110k–$160k typical)
- 4-year vesting, 1-year cliff
- Ability to build and lead the engineering organization
