Job Description And Responsibilities
This role involves managing and optimizing a hybrid infrastructure that spans on-premise servers, AWS, and Azure environments. The successful candidate will leverage their expertise, training, and problem-solving skills to address technical challenges and maintain system configurations.
- Ensure the Azure environment is optimally configured with appropriate access controls, logging, alerting, user rights, roles, and monitoring. Key areas include:
- Mobile and Endpoint Management (Intune)
- Single Sign-On
- Conditional Access, including Multi-Factor Authentication (Duo)
- Secure Score and Compliance Score
- At-Risk Login Configuration and Alerts
- Communication Compliance
- Teams Security
- Microsoft Defender and Purview Management
- Collaborate with our Managed Service Provider (MSP) to ensure the AWS environment is secure and efficient. Responsibilities include oversight of:
- IAM Security
- GuardDuty and Security Hub
- S3 Bucket Configuration and Security
- Backups/Snapshot Monitoring and Management
- Cost Optimization (EC2 rightsizing and S3 storage tier management)
- Subnets, Routing, VPNs, and Gateways
- Disaster Recovery Configuration and Testing
- Supervise the on-premises infrastructure, including servers, firewalls, Cisco switches, and storage, with tasks such as:
- Security Reviews
- Active Directory and Group Policy Management
- Remote Desktop Management
- DNS Management
- Fortinet Firewall Monitoring
- Cisco Switch Monitoring and Configuration Recommendations
- Secondary Help Desk Support
- Propose and implement security enhancements to strengthen the organization's security posture.
- Manage internal and external penetration tests and vulnerability assessments.
Qualifications
- 3-7 years of IT experience with a solid understanding of hardware, operating systems, networking, and troubleshooting.
- At least 2 years of Azure configuration and management experience (Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate or higher required).
- Bachelor's degree in a technology-related field or equivalent experience.
- 2 years of experience with AWS configuration and management (AWS Solution Architect - Associate or higher preferred).
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and SIEM systems.
- Ability to comprehend and implement technical information from written sources.
- Adherence to data and identity protection standards.
- Capable of multitasking and prioritizing multiple tasks effectively.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Server operating systems, Active Directory, and Office 365.
- Positive attitude, determination, and self-motivation.
