About The Role
We are seeking an experienced
Chief Operating Officer (COO) to lead company-wide operations across multiple regions. The COO will drive operational excellence, client retention, profitability, compliance, and organizational growth. This role works closely with the CEO and executive leadership team to ensure alignment with strategic goals and annual financial plans.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations across districts, markets, and service lines
- Lead customer retention efforts and ensure high-quality service delivery
- Drive cost control, budgeting, forecasting, and P&L performance
- Support revenue growth, sales initiatives, and market expansion
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, local, and industry regulations
- Oversee safety programs, risk management, and subcontractor compliance
- Provide regular reporting on KPIs, quality, staffing, safety, and profitability
- Build, lead, and develop high-performing teams across all regions
- Drive process improvements and support change management initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations, or related field (preferred)
- 7–10+ years of senior leadership experience in janitorial, facilities services, or building maintenance
- Proven track record leading multi-site operations with full P&L responsibility
- Strong knowledge of labor laws, safety compliance, and industry best practices
- CIMS, CIMS-GB, CBSE, or RBSE certification experience strongly preferred
- Strong financial acumen and operational analytics experience
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and team development skills
Physical & Work Requirements
- Ability to travel locally and regionally to client sites
- Ability to walk large facilities, including stairs and industrial environments
- Flexible schedule with occasional nights/weekends as needed
